Riyadh Skyline- Shadow Box

I made this shadow box as the Skyline of my home, Riyadh the capital city of Saudi Arabia.

I started the project by collecting images for the famous city buildings. I used Inkscape for the design and how I want the project look like. Then I separated the building into 7 different layers. The gave each layer a different color.

I used card stock for this project and a laser cutter. I tried to cut it with the vinyl cutter but i couldn't figure out the right blade so i decided to go with the laser cutter on very low power.

When I finished cutting the layers I but them on the top of each other and I placed cardboard frame between the layers to give an effect of a shadow.

After arranging the layers together I put them in a photo frame and I placed LED strip behind the layers.
